Jan studied art at St Martins, Epsom and MedwaySchools of Art and now uses mainly watercolours and silk.  She is an Adult Education tutor in flower painting and mixed media - experimental techniques and holds workshops in her studio once a fortnight on watercolour and silk painting.

She is a member of the Buckinghamshire Arts Society, the Milton Keynes Society of Artists, the Winslow & District Art Society, Buckingham Art for All and the Visual Images Group. 

Jan's work has sold throughout the UK, France and the United States.  She exhibits regularly throughout the year and her commissions include private houses, gardens, horses, flowers and steam trains.
