I live in Botolph Claydon, Bucks and after leaving hospital after a cataract operation 12 years ago, I found the world suddenly revealed in beautiful colour and clarity, and I wanted to be able to paint and draw it all. I started learning in a class called “Drawing for non-artists” which taught me how to look and how to make marks on paper that captured something of what I saw. Since then I have attended many different classes and worked in different media.

My current work includes tiny pictures of the trees I see growing from hedges and against the horizon when I walk the Buckinghamshire countryside, and a new series of small and large paintings of dancers, bodies stretched to the limit in the search for beauty through movement.
