Sketching Day- Stowe National Trust Gardens Guy Scott Tuesday 19th August 2008
Guy Scott, professional artist and formae Head of Art at Stowe School kindly agreed to supervise a tour of the NT Gardens at Stowe with ample opportunity to stop and do some sketching. The day started by meeting at Mount Pleasant so that we could maximise the car sharing. The NT offices - Home Farm - was our first port of call and then on to the Queen's Temple for lunch and an afternoon of sketching. Finall we decamped to the stables at Stowe near the Corinthian Arch and then just beyond to the New Inn which is due to be completeley restored and transformed into the NT visitors centre and main entrance to the gardens. |
